Trace Your Data Lineage

Pick a workbook or published data source as the reference point. The map traces every upstream source and downstream dependency it touches.

AI optional, on your keyVersion 3.23.3

Platform guarantee

Connect a warehouse without giving up write access.

Read only, by construction

The connectors contain no write method at all, so a read-only credential is all TabTotal ever needs. Whatever your role cannot see, Boreon cannot see either.

In the product

Lineage, as it actually looks.

The Lineage tool running inside TabTotal.
Lineage 3.23.3, behind the shared login to TabTotal. Your own Tableau permissions come with you. You see what you already have rights to and nothing else.

The register

What Lineage does for you.

Every line below was read out of the product’s own source on 14 August 2026.

  • Field-level grain: Tableau calculated fields to datasource fields to warehouse columns to tables.

  • Real column edges from Snowflake lineage over the SQL API, and Databricks system.access.column_lineage.

  • The grain it reports is the grain it reached. When Tableau Catalog answers only at table level, the banner says so and names what completed the rest.

  • Name-matched bridges are unique-match only and labelled as matched, so they can never pose as catalog data.

  • Export any map as one self-contained interactive HTML file, in your language, that works with no server and no internet.

Assurance

The AI is yours to switch on.

Where Lineage uses AI, it runs on the provider key you supply. Your prompts go to the provider you picked, and nowhere else.

The model drafts. Anything that would change your Tableau content arrives as a card that routes into the same approval gate a person would use, with the same signature and dual-control rules you already run. Your team keeps the pen.

Orchestrate

Trace what feeds what, watch how it runs, and put the right view in front of the right people.

Lineage sits with these, and one login opens all of them with your Tableau permissions.

See Lineage in your own Tableau Environment.

A month on your own content is a better test than any description of it.
